Living in the Willamette Valley means there is a fantastic array of natural areas just outside our doors, or only a short drive away.

 

But living here also means enduring a cool, cloudy, rainy winter with dreary skies and short days!

 

When spring comes around (or if there is an unexpected sun-break during the northwest winter), we want to go outside and celebrate!

 

Everybody loves a picnic in the out-of-doors, and northwesterners are no exception. But we do have the advantages of long, sunny days and exceptional places to set down our table cloths and picnic baskets.

 

We have lived in Corvallis for over 20 years, and are still discovering great places to dine in natural settings.  This site lists some of our favorite places to have a picnic, go hiking, birdwatching, nature photographing, or anything else fun to do outside.  We hope you will enjoy these places as much as we do!
