My darling wife,
I arrived here with the Company on yesterday and encamped at the Tank the Col. has ordered us to move over the branch and encamp at 'Oliver's' house, will move tomorrow. If I can get a chance I will try and spend Sat. night with you, but can't say positively whether I can come or not. Would ask you to come and see me but am afraid something might happen.
I sent to Thorn Hall a lot of dirty clothes, bottles, etc. please send up there for them. I will soon be in need of my clothes so please have them washed as soon as you can, I am in a hurry.
Goodbye dear wife
